..." Jenny Hval, also known as Rockettothesky, has been described as “rigorously intellectual, poised and determinately instinctual”. She studied art of writing and performance at the University of Melbourne from 2001 to 2005. During her stay in Australia she also played in the bands iPanic and Folding for Air. She was nominated for a Norwegian Grammy in 2006 for her successful debut album To Sing You Apple Trees, and her second album Medea came out in 2008.
Hval’s music may be described as a mix of electronic, pop, poetry, mystique, sensuality and a smooth sound. She played at most of the big Norwegian festivals in 2007, as well as at different events in Scandinavia, France, the UK and Belgium..."
