Oleg Fateev - J.S. Bach/ fro: Prelude and fuga for organ in c-mineur (BWV 546)




Oleg Fateev was born in 1967 in Moldova (former Soviet Union). After his studies in the music college in Tiraspol (Moldova), he continued his musical education in the Russian Gnesin Academy of Music in Moscow. In 1993 he graduated as a bayan player (bayan=Russian button accordion) and as a conductor. Since 1996 he lives in the Netherlands, where he has played a lot of solo concerts, participated in many theatre productions, played on festivals, and participated in experimental music projects.

Oleg Fateev plays Russian, Moldavian, and classical, as well as improvised music. He also writes his own compositions and arrangements, in which you can hear his Moldavian roots.

In 1998 he started his own band: the Oleg Fateev Trio.

Born in 1976 into a family possessing a long and distinguished musical tradition in the small Garifuna community of Plaplaya in Honduras, at the age of six, he was already playing drums at social gatherings and picking up his father’s guitar as soon as he was big enough to hold it. Inspired by his grandmother and his father, Aurelio gathered a vast repertoire, which later enabled him to develop his playing and his own style.

As an original member of the Garifuna All Star Band, Aurelio has taken his Paranda music to stages in France, Japan, The USA, Mexico and neighbouring Central American countries. ( read more )
